School Board Election Information
The Board of Trustees consists of seven board members elected to serve, without compensation, for overlapping terms of three years each. Elections are conducted annually in May. While candidates run for specific seats, they do not represent specific geographical areas; rather, each represents all students and all residents of Tioga ISD.
The next Tioga ISD School Board election will be on May 3rd, 2025. May 3, 2025 Election Calendar
The seats up for election at that time are:
Seat 1 - currently held by Mica Bates
Seat 4 – currently held by Brandon Miller
Those interested in applying for a seat on the School Board and who meet the eligibility requirements may complete an application for a place on the ballot. Applications are available from Sondra Hall at the Tioga Secondary campus.
**The filing period begins January 15th, 2025 and ends February 14th, 2025 at 5 P.M.**
To be eligible for school board service, an individual must**:
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have not been determined to be mentally incapacitated
- Have not been convicted of a felony charge
- Must be a resident of Texas (12 months) and the Tioga Independent School District (6 months)**
- Be registered to vote in Tioga ISD **
